The sections required to form the lift shaft are factory manufactured in a flexible moulding system and trucked to the client site. These include the pit section and the upper mechanical housing and lid. A site crane is required to lift the sections from the truck and position them one on top of another, in the correct sequence, on level foundations prepared by the client. Lifting loops, locating pins and grout are supplied by Waycon Precast Limited. A number of erection contractors have gained experience with the installation of the product and typically take less than two hours per storey.
