David McLean Contractors have recently installed 2no. precast concrete lift shafts manufactured by Waycon Ltd on two separate projects, and write to congratulate you on both the level of service we received and the quality of the product.
From placing of order, the shaft was delivered to site in 3 weeks, it arrived on site at 9-15 am and was installed complete by 12.00 pm.
This included off-loading from the wagon and a 15 minute stop for breakfast! The shaft is plumb and square and the pit totally waterproof. The shaft walls are smaller in section than conventional masonry and the finish is such that the lift manufacturer does not require internal painting of the walls. All the inserts are pre-installed to the lift manufacturers specification, including those for lifting eyes, and door openings pre-formed.
The benefits far outweigh the small additional cost over conventional shaft construction, both in the massive reduction in construction time Labour and materials handling, and in the removal of the need for scaffolding and the associated hazards.
We will have no hesitation in using Waycon Ltd for future Projects.
